Recycled Hall Reveal!

Hello fabulous friends of mine! I am so elated to share the reveal of my recycled (completely re-purposed) hall today! I had an absolute blast challenging myself to use pieces I already had to create an eclectic, bold, and elegant hallway. Do you remember what our hall looked like before?
And here it is after!

To see how I created our custom artwork and colorful chandelier, click here.
To get a tutorial on our custom painted rug, click here.
To see how we used an old book to wallpaper the back wall, click here.

Want to see our other hall transformation? Click here!
Since you can see both halls at the same time while going up our stairs, I tied them together by using stripes and a chandelier in both. Well, lets be real here, I just love stripes and chandeliers.

Thanks for coming on this little tour of our sunny recycled hall! What can you recycle and re-use in your home?

Until next time,

  7. Wow, your hall turned out fantastic! I love the pops of yellows and gray, those are my two favorite colors right now! I think I may try to do a stripped rug as well. And the chandelier looks amazing, what a perfect color! Thanks for the inspiration.

    1. Thank you so much Kristel! I am so loving those colors too, they make me happy :) The best part is, the yellow is on small changeable things so when I like another color trend I can repaint! I hope you are having a lovely weekend!

    1. Hey there! Since I am in a rental I used double sided tape so that I would only have to touch up the paint before leaving! You could definitely use wallpaper adhesive or mod podge as well! Thank you so much!

    1. I painted it black, than I used a metallic silvered-gold and rubbed over it with a rag. The paint was from Joanne's Fabrics but the label is ruined and I can''t read what it was. I think it was maybe champagne gold...
I hope you have a blessed day!

  16. I just read your response to one of the other comments. You're in a rental?! Wow! That makes me doubly impressed at this transformation. We're renting now, and I've never been brave enough to do such a big and bold change. Love it!

    1. It sure is! I try to pick neutral colors for the walls so the next tenant will like it (so I won't have to re-paint) and get colorful and playful with lighting and accessories! Light fixtures are great things to switch out because it's so easy to do and makes the BIGGEST impact on a room! Good luck! Let me know if you need any tutorials added for rentals!

  34. So gorgeous - and I liked the hallway before too. Have to confess a "red face" moment. The "L'ATELIER" sign? When I first saw it, these old eyes skipped over the ' and I thought it said "LATELIER". "Hmmm, what does that mean?" I wondered. "Like the oppositie of earlier? Maybe she's one of those people who's always late and got that as a wink to her problems with time? How cute!" Then I looked at it again - and got it.

    1. That is so funny! I snagged that sign at a thrift shop, I was so excited to discover that it meant designer (or artist's) studio! How perfect is that! The striped hall is the other hall in our house :) I have somewhat of a thing for decorating halls!
