This Falliday Season, I wanted our front porch to be rustic, natural, and as masculine as it could be with a pink and white house as the backdrop. The pumpkins that I found were so gorgeous, I just had to keep them natural. My version of natural that is, which involves nail-heads and moss. Since we couldn't find any nail head trim, we simply stuck tacks in the pumpkins to create our address!
I hung a two Euro broom as our wreath and tied some sofa webbing around it as a bow. We placed some brightly colored flowers (that were on clearance of course) in an arrangement to the right of the pumpkin topiary. I covered the ugly pots with burlap that I already had and created a chalkboard welcome sign...
I will give a tutorial on how to simply, and inexpensively make your own chalkboard paint soon! The welcome sign was made with left over wood and some throw away trim I found... The sign sounds a little Paula Dean-ish but I love the word "ya'll", especially when my Southern, studly husband says it! By the way there is an E at the end of welcome.. I tried to be cool and make it the length of the actual word, but it didn't turn out quite how I planned...hehe.
I will be sharing my inside fall decor soon!
What are you doing to your front porch to make them look festive and ready for fall?
