Our Holiday Niche {Vintage Skis and Quirky Pottery}

Pin It
I am sure most of you know by now that am a sucker for anything vintage...especially European vintage. This last weekend, my beautiful friend Ivona gave me these GORGEOUS, vintage, wooden skis for my birthday. They fit in our home perfectly and I intend on using them in our decor year around! They are so  German-alp chic! Can you tell I am in love??? I think they look delightful in our little coffee bar, kitchen niche!
If you are a military spouse, you know there's is an unspoken law that you must obtain some fabulous Polish pottery over the course of your or your duty abroad. I love it all, but wanted something that screamed quirky, colorful and a little more Eastern European style. I found these mugs, spoons, owl, and butter dish from a little vendor on base and just had to have them! They remind me of something from my beloved anthropologie. What do you think?
I think it makes my coffee bar a little more cheery!
 I took some vintage red candlesticks I found at the goodwill a few years ago and added them to the coffee bar to add a touch of Christmas red. It compliments the red in the pottery perfectly.
 A touch of evergreen and berries makes this niche Christmas ready!
Right after I finished shooting this area, I decided I wanted to re-do part of it with open shelving and stacks of white dishes, pedestals, and mason jars... Stay tuned for the reveal!
Here is our other hall all decked out for the holidays!
